Hua Hin day trips with Transfer Hua Hin are private, one-day outings in three zones: the palaces and caves of Phetchaburi, the national parks of Sam Roi Yot and Kui Buri, and the green hills west of town. You choose the stops within one zone, the car comes with a driver and fuel, and the driver waits while you explore. Zones start from 600 THB.
Many of the sights around Hua Hin lie beyond easy taxi range: a hilltop palace above Phetchaburi, a cave pavilion lit by a single shaft of sun, wild elephants grazing at dusk in Kui Buri. With a private car they become a relaxed day planned around your pace, not a group timetable. Every trip is private to your group.
We have grouped these places into three zones, each a comfortable round trip from town. Pick the stops you want, tell us when you would like to leave, and your driver handles the roads, the parking and the waiting. The car is air-conditioned, the driver knows the routes, and you never share the vehicle with strangers.
How it works
- Choose a zone: A, B or C.
- Pick the places you want to see in that zone.
- We confirm the vehicle, pickup time and price.
- Your driver collects you, waits at every stop and brings you back.

Choosing the right zone for your Hua Hin day trip
Zone A heads north to Phetchaburi and Cha-am for royal history: the hilltop palace of Khao Wang, the Buddha-filled chamber of Khao Luang Cave and the teak seaside palace of Mrigadayavan. It suits travellers who enjoy architecture, temples and stories of the Thai kings. Zone A also offers the most shade and indoor space, which helps on very hot days, and once you reach Phetchaburi the drives between stops are short.
Zone B runs south into Khao Sam Roi Yot and Kui Buri national parks, with a cave hike, a coastal viewpoint, a lotus-marsh boardwalk and afternoon elephant watching, plus a safari park for families. Zone C stays close to town and heads inland: Pa La-U Waterfall, Monsoon Valley Vineyards and the giant monk statue at Wat Huay Mongkol. Mixed-age groups often choose Zone C for its gentle pace.
Best times, seasons and the heat
The cool, dry months from November to February are the most comfortable for sightseeing, with clear skies over Sam Roi Yot and pleasant mornings at the palaces. March to May is hot, so start early and keep shaded or indoor stops for midday. In the rainy season, roughly June to October, waterfalls run full and the forests turn green, though some trails get slippery.
Timing within the day matters too. Phraya Nakhon Cave and Khao Luang Cave look their best in late morning, when sunlight falls through the openings, while the Kui Buri elephants usually appear in the late afternoon. Your driver can suggest an order of stops that follows the light and avoids the worst of the heat, so tell us your priorities when you book.
What to bring and how to dress
Temples and royal palaces expect modest dress: shoulders and knees covered for everyone, and nothing see-through. A light scarf or sarong is useful to pull over a vest top. Shoes come off before you enter prayer halls, so sandals that slip off easily save time. Take off hats and sunglasses inside shrines, and avoid pointing your feet towards Buddha images or monks.
For the caves and viewpoints, wear trainers with good grip, a hat and sunscreen, and carry cash in small notes for entrance fees, parking or a coconut at the trailhead. Insect repellent helps at the waterfall and in Kui Buri. Leave bulky bags in the car: your driver stays with the vehicle, so you only need to carry the essentials.
Day trip questions
What is included in a Hua Hin day trip?
Your private car, a professional driver and fuel. The driver waits at every stop you choose within your zone. Entrance fees, meals and personal expenses are paid separately on site.
How much does a private day trip from Hua Hin cost?
Zone B starts from 600 THB, and Zones A and C start from 700 THB. The final price depends on the vehicle and the places you choose, and we confirm it before you book.
Can I combine places from two zones in one day?
Each trip is priced per zone so the day stays relaxed and realistic. If you would like to add a stop from another zone, ask us and we will tell you whether the timing works and confirm the price.
How long does a day trip from Hua Hin take?
Most guests are out for six to eight hours, depending on how many stops they choose and how long they stay at each. Opening hours shape the plan, so we help you put the stops in a sensible order.
Are Hua Hin day trips suitable for children and older travellers?
Yes, with some planning. Mrigadayavan Palace, Bueng Bua and Wat Huay Mongkol are easy on foot, and Khao Wang has a funicular. Phraya Nakhon Cave involves a steep climb, so we flag the stops that need more effort.
